No. You can notify us using the same login and password details you used for the previous notification. In case you have forgotten your login details, you can go to the portal and click on the “Forgot Password” option.

You will be able to see all of the requests you have submitted under the business email address chosen to register.

Yes. This service is quicker than the old system as it avoids postal delay or opportunity for loss of correspondence. You can request everything you used to previously via the secure portal.

You need to state you are a solicitor and include your Law Firm SRA ID or registration number where appropriate. Law Practitioners in Scotland should mark as not applicable. You will be able to upload your requirements under “Solicitors Additional Requests” in the 'What We Need From You?' section.

An executor account is an account which allows the executor(s) to gather payments due to the deceased's estate before being distributed to the beneficiaries, such as the proceeds from the sale of a house.

This type of account also allows payments to be made on behalf of the deceased, such as a payment for maintenance of a house belonging to the deceased's estate.

To open an executor account, the applicant will need to have a Grant of Representation (England or Wales) or Confirmation (Scotland).

What steps do I need to take to open an executor account?

Firstly you will need to open an everyday bank account. You can do this online by following this link.

Once the account is open you can complete this online form and drop this off at your local branch with a form of photo identification and proof of address.
